Is there anything from Camino in your logs (see /Applications/ Utilities/Console.app)? This is a rare, but unfortunate problem which we're having at the moment. See

If you're interested in helping us track down this problem, there's a special Camino 1.0.3 build with extra logging, which should help us find out how this is happening. More information on that can be found at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2494562#2494562 In the mean time, the best solution is to back up the data in ~/ Library/Application Support/Camino/ on a regular basis.
