I was affraid my system's problems were multiplying faster than i
thought.
Pretty annoying stuff but i hate to switch to any other browser.
They just don't cut it. 8^/

Because of system problems i've recently done an Archive & Install of
OS 10.4.8. Also, i am using a new profile.
You're system is probably doing fine. All the problems you see are
just little side effects of improvements to the Gecko rendering
engine. Expect more little problems, temporary wackiness/craziness
over the coming weeks/months. More big changes under the hood are
coming.
Meanwhile, enjoy life on the bleeding edge :-).
