I assume the identical version of Firefox behaves the same way as
Camino (Camino 1.0.x = Firefox 1.5.0.x, Camino 1.1b = Firefox
2.0.0.x)?

My first guess is that it's probably a bug with Novell WebAccess,
given that Safari tends to ignore standards when saving files (Safari
changes extensions and doesn't truncate unquoted filenames with space
characters, contra the specs, whereas Gecko enforces these more
strictly).

Without having access to one of these setups to test, or having you
do some debugging for us, it's hard to say for sure. :( If you're
willing to do a little work on this, do file a bug, and we can talk
you through some of the debugging to see if it's a Camino/Gecko bug
or a problem with Novell WebAccess.
