What if I told you that right now, as you read this, a group of knowledgeable persons are making thousands of dollars every hour by using proven winning systems in both on-line and Internet casinos? They use gambling systems to consistently and regularly win at casino gambling. The principal casino games offering a skilled player a very good chance of winning are: blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat. Casinos have helped perpetuate the myth that these games are unbeatable, based on the long-term expectations of the house edge. The assumption is that a player will continue to pursue a system over and over, without variation until, over the long-run, the house edge gradually wears him down and the casino wins all of his money. However, my group of pros don't play that way. They pick their games, their timing, control their bankroll, set loss limits and even set up target winning amounts. Using a controlled approach with a defined betting plan, they will play a game for a short period, lock up a win (or occasionally suffer a small loss) and then retire, either for the day or to take a short break before hitting the casino again. The "hit and run" approach can be devastating to a casino when it is used properly, because when you use it, you are no longer playing the casino's game - you are forcing the casino to play your game! Let's take a look at the proposition that the player can't win. Pick a game with even-money bets. You can play pass line and don't pass at craps. Or you may prefer to wager on the colors of red and black at roulette. If baccarat is handy, you can use the banker and player spots for this little experiment. All of these even-money bets are roughly fifty-fifty propositions. That is, they will win or lose about half the time on the average. Here's what you will do. Start out betting $1 on one of these bets and continue to bet the same way, raising your bet by $1 after each bet decision, win or lose. Whenever you reach the point where you are ahead, you will quit. If you want to try this right now you can use a coin and bet either heads or tails for every wager. Your betting series will be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on. To test this system I looked for the worst possible series of dice decisions I could find. In the one I picked, only four passes showed in the first 27 decisions. I assumed that only pass bets were made, giving the player a horrible string of losses to overcome. Yet, even losing over 85% of the first 27 bets, I made a profit using this simple system. In this particular test it took over 70 wagers to make a profit, but a profit was made nonetheless. The point is that using a simple arithmetic progression, it is virtually impossible to lose even though it might take a considerable number of decisions before a profit was realized. Nelayan, before you rush out and try this system, please realize that this is not a recommended way to play. Even though this system has been sold through the mail as a "sure-fire" way to win at blackjack, I don't recommend it because the amount you may have to invest is too large relative to the profit you can make. But don't despair. There are strategies that I will show you that you can use to set up your own "stream of regular winnings." You can see how a simple progression can be used to overcome the house edge in a game of chance, provided the odds against the player are not too great. Casino bosses like to spout off that they will send cabs to the airport to pick up "systems players." In actuality, all players use some kind of system, and a pro will not gamble at any game in which he does not have a well thought out, tested method of play, proper money management rules, and definite win goals and loss limits in place before starting to play. Any system worth its salt will have several characteristics in common: a. The system will provide for definite stopping points for wins and losses. b. The system will have a betting strategy in which the size of the bet may be changed depending upon circumstances. c. The system will provide for some flexibility to counter adverse periods. d. The system will help the player protect his bankroll. e. The system will emphasize money management, even down to the size of every bet made.
