Max choked on an ice cube this week. Totally, totally scary. =( He made an awful
noise and his eyes opened really wide. I ended up doing the baby heimlich on him. A
couple seconds sure did feel like an eternity, I tell you. Marc got in major poop for
giving Max the ice cube too. Sometimes we forget that he's still a little guy.

He's in a bossy phase. He pushes us and hollers "Move!" LOL! What a little rude bub.
We're trying to teach him "excuse me", but it's not really happening yet. Even "move
please" would be an improvement. Instead, it's "Move! Thank you!" in a nasty tone. I
think I have my work cut out for me. He's stubborn at times.

Max wants to play with his sisters all the time now. It drives them batty. =)
Yesterday, they were doing crafts, covering empty cans with paper and sticking
stickers and feathers on them. Max was right in there like a dirty shirt. He kept
stealing all the goolie eyes and sticking all the stickers to his forehead. Melanie
was especially exasperated, being almost 5. Max was being *gasp!* "a big old sticker
waster!" He's started to scribble on paper. He also likes the glue stick. He doesn't
actually use the glue, mind you, he just wants to hold the glue stick and squeal if
anyone else tries to use it. If there is more than one glue stick, well, he wants to
hold them all. =) Terrible, terrible almost 2 year old.

I came to the realization that Little Swimmers don't come in extra large. So, I don't
know what we're going to do for Max for swimming if he gets much bigger. The
community center won't let him swim without a swim diaper until he's fully toilet
trained. Max ran across a pair of Melanie's old boots. Size 8 and they're not huge
on him.

Max is totally into spiderman these days. And, trucks. All day long, it's
"spi-do-ma".

Our neighbour across the street got a harley. He wakes the kids up revving it at 7 am
every morning, and again at around 10pm when he comes home. It drives me crazy! Max
is a hoot. If it wakes him he starts hollering "bye bye mo-ti-do!" (motorcycle) or
"bad mo-ti-do!" When we're out in the yard, he glares at the neighbour when he's
getting on his bike. LOL! I hope the neighbour gets over revving up for 5-10 minutes
before he leaves. I'm hoping he's only doing it because it's a "new toy" and we'll get
some piece and quiet soon.
