Child's Point of View
Remember that children have a great perspective on life. Hand the camera
over to them periodically to see what they can come up with! If you don't
want to give up YOUR camera, the disposable cameras are great!! Remember
to teach your children that what they see through the viewfinder is what
will show up in the photo (if they can't see mom's head in the window, it
won't be in the picture either!). For other great tips on scrapbooking,

Photo corners can be used for more than photos. They come in a variety of
colors, from classic black, to gold to baby blue. Use self-adhesive photo
corners instead of glue to attach a layer of vellum or other paper onto a
greeting card. Place photo corners onto corners of paper. Remove
protective covering from the adhesive back. Press into place.

For large sewing projects, wind several bobbins with thread. Adhere a
magnetic strip to your sewing machine to hold the filled bobbins. The
magnet keeps your bobbins within easy reach.

5. Crafting Tips/Questions - Great Ideas From Our Readers.

Tip 1 - Hot Pack
For Peggy who is looking for the microwaveable items for sore muscles.
Take any cotton or flannel fabric and cut 2 pieces the same size and
stitch together to form a square (ed note - we've also heard to use a tube
sock). Leave one corner open to fill the bag with white uncooked rice (not
minute rice). Stitch up hole. I put these in microwave for 2 min. on high
and you have a heat pad. I also keep a few in the freezer for cold packs.
After you have used as hot packs a few dozen times, put bag with a cup of
water (DO NOT put the bag in the water) turn on microwave for 2 min. and
just leave inside microwave for about 5 minutes. The steam from the water
puts moisture back into the rice. These last forever!!! Just do not wash
bag. I make a slip on cover for mine to keep them clean and throw the
cover in to wash. Hope this helps. Mary Lawson, West Palm Beach, FL

Tip 2 - Recycled Baby Toys
This is an easy way to make sensory toys for your 8-month-old daughter.
Take the label off the small size water bottles and fill it with various
liquids (corn syrup, watered down hair gel, water). You can color them
with food coloring and then add small items such as beads, toys, etc. You
can also fill them with rice, macaroni and add glitter or anything else
that will add color. Be sure to secure the lids with a nontoxic glue. I
usually use a hot glue gun. I am a pre-kindergarten teacher and I am
making a set using the alphabet. Charlene Deutscher, Bremerton, WA
