PART 4 of 5) "The Best In PAID Advertising!" ------------------------------------------------- Hi [EMAIL PROTECTED], Alright, in the last couple installments of the "Online Advertising for the Completely Clueless" training course, we covered my top F/R/E/E advertising techniques and strategies. But as I've mentioned, F/R/E/E advertising generally takes a significant investment of your time. And let's face it, not all of us have an hour or two every day to spend on promoting our web-sites. ...And that's a problem! The solution is what I call "budget advertising". There are several really solid ways to bring targeted buyers to your web-site without investing huge sums of money. These techniques are PROVEN... I have used (and still use) them to promote several of my own sites, and in the process, have generated tens of thousands of dollars. They'll work for YOU, if you learn how to work THEM. Just as with F/R/E/E advertising, I recommend you start out with ONE paid technique (if you choose to go the paid advertising route), and really MASTER that technique before moving on. And in fact, you may find that ONE advertising method is all you'll ever need to build and maintain your business. And note that I can't possibly cover everything you need to know to achieve maximum success with these resources and services in a training course such as this. I encourage you to search Google.com for further information on the advertising strategies that interest you - and learn all you can! With that said, let's get started on the list of my top PAID advertising methods: Paid Strategy 1: Pay-per-click search engines such as Google AdWords and Overture.com: AdWords: https://adwords.google.com/select/?hl=en Overture.com: http://www.overture.com One of the "tricks" to pay-per-click search engine success is NOT going after the most popular keywords, but rather finding a *multitude* of less popular, less expensive keywords. GoodKeyWords.com provides an excellent *free* utility that will help you quickly compile a list of free keywords for your web-site. Google Adwords (my personal favorite Pay-per-click advertising resource) has some great PPC advertising tips and tutorials at: https://adwords.google.com/select/index.html Paid Strategy 2: Ezine advertising has proved one of the most consistent, effective, low cost forms of online advertising for the past 5 years, and continues to prove highly effective. There are TWO types of ezine advertising that I recommend. "Top Sponsor Ads" are shorter length ads that typically appear above the featured article, or in a prominent/featured place in the ezine issue. Top Sponsor Ads are perfect for those on a particularly tight advertising budget. "Solo Ads" often have no limit on length (500+ words at least) and are sent out "solo" (with no other content or article) to the subscriber base. This method is a bit more expensive, but provides the most exposure to your offer. Here's an excellent list of ezines recommended by top Internet marketer Brian Garvin (and used by myself): http://www.bigdogpit.com/adv-solos.html If you have a little extra money to spend, I HIGHLY recommend Charlie Page's "Directory of Ezines" at: http://directoryofezines.com/ In fact, I'd call the Directory of Ezines an absolute MUST if you plan on doing a fair amount of ezine advertising. Here are a few really important ezine advertising tips: a) Use the pay-per-click search engines to *test and tweak* your offer before moving to solo ezine ads. b) They'll hate me for telling you this, but you can OFTEN "wheel and deal" with the ezine publishers for better deals. If you don't like the price listed, *make an offer*. The worst that can happen is you're told "no". But I guarantee, if you continue making offers like this, you're going to save yourself a TON of money on ezine advertising. I've saved as much as $400 on a SINGLE ad this way - just by offering what I was willing to pay! You should *minimally* ask if the publisher has any special offers or two-for-one deals before ordering. c) If it's your first time advertising with a particular ezine, email the publisher and ask if they are willing to *guarantee* your results. Minimally, ask if your ad can be run a second time if the first round results are poor. d) Email the publisher with your ad, and ask if any similar ads/offers have been run within the past 3 months. If so, you'll want to consider finding another place to advertise for the time being. e) Subscribe to the ezine you're considering advertising in, and get a feel for what type of articles and content that they publish. Take my word for it, there are quite a few ezines out there that NOBODY in their right mind would read - full of junk content and nothing but ads. You want to run your ads in ezines that actually get READ! ------------------------------------------------- Well, I'm ready for a break, how about you?
