wow.. you sure are a busy lady.. I can't help you much
on the weight issue as I have put on way too much
after my first one (I guess I am the worst example) I
still have about 10 kgs of excess weight to get rid of
and reach my pre-pregnancy weight. Which I need to do
urgently beacuse of my PCOS. Since I stopped nursing
when he was 7 and 1/2 months I can't help you much
with how a nursing mom can reduce. But I can tell you
this.. that the reason they say you don't put on
weight while nursing must be due to the fact that most
of the excess that you eat has a good chance of being
used because of you nursing. For me I did put on a lot
of weight while nursing as I was concentrating more on
nursing then on anything else and would snack on lots
of junk in between as well. And my mom used to give me
fatty things..(its a belief around this side of the
world to feed the nursing mom lots of fatty stuff. so
that the baby gets fat {raised eyebrows!!} ...but as
my son was skinny I would not refuse) My real problem
started after he was weaned off. I continued to eat
extra (a habit while nursing) and so within a month I
found I had put on so much weight suddenly and even
after tring to control my diet I continued to gain
weight.. as how ever much I controlled.. I had gotten
used to eating more and taking larger helpings. I had
to think and cut back my diet to what it was
pre-pregnancy. At that point I stopped gaining.. but
it left me with 12-13 kgs extra... out of which I have
just managed to shed 2 kgs till now. My son tires the
hell out of me so I can't follow any excercise regime
either. I have started concentrating on my diet now
and am looking forward to loose the weight gradually
over the next few months. I am eating more fruits in
the day and not snacking on junk food or oily snacks
etc. I have also read that drinking lots of water
helps in reducing weight, as it reduces bloating due
to water retention. This is something I am working at
as I drink less water...So you might want to try this
and have lots and lots of water each day. I have
started to look thin now.. though i haven't lost much
weight.. so I guess my bloating has gone only.. and
now I need to excercise to lose some weight.Recently I have been trying to give my self 10 minutes in the evenings (when and if my son is napping).. to dance a bit. I love dancing and thats the best aerobic excercise for me.. as I don't feel I have been excercising. So you might want to think what physical thing you like doing that burns calories and try that, starting by giving it a few minutes at a time. Like you might want to try skipping for 2 mins, 2-3 days a week. Skipping used to really get me into shape overall. I used to do skipping with an imaginary rope. I guess I should try that as well again. Hopefully we will have success soon. Manleen ________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
