It�s a very simple story of someone reaching out just when it was needed most. It makes me think of the movie �Pay It Forward� where people repay good deeds three times over. I am sure when C.G. is able, she will be the one helping another person in her own special way. Today's Hero: I was renting a room from an acquaintance and, after working a double shift waitressing, I was exhausted and asleep when he came in with his girlfriend. I gather "she" was the one that got him to tell me to leave. 2 a.m. and extremely angry, I packed my stuff and slept in my car at a rest area. In the morning, I went to a coffee shop next to my girlfriend�s place of business. I was waiting for her to arrive for work. A man sitting next to me at the counter struck up a conversation. I explained my predicament. He understood, as he had been in similar situations at times in his life. He explained how a total stranger helped him out. I excused myself to the ladies� room. When I came back, he was gone...and a $100 bill was under my coffee cup. I never did get his name...my "Hero"...an "Angel". The best thing we can be is the hero of another.
