Term of the Day: Game Theory
------------------------------------------------------------
A model of optimality taking into consideration not only
benefits less costs, but also the interaction between
participants.

Investopedia Says:
------------------------------------------------------------
Game theory attempts to look at the relationships between
participants in a particular model and predicts their optimal
decisions. One frequently cited example of game theory is the
prisoner's dilemma. Suppose there are two people accused of a
crime: A and B. If only one of the participants implicates the
other in the crime, he/she will receive a minimum sentence of
one year. If nobody makes any implications they will both
receive a sentence of two years. If both decide to make
implications about the other, they will both receive the
maximum sentence of three years.
