I am so set on having a girl next time that I think I
need to find out ahead of time. I mean, with Luke I
wanted a girl but once I found out and thought of him
as a little boy, not an it, I didnt care. Plus I
don't want any disappointment when it's born. I might
cry if I wait 9 months hoping just to find out ot's
not a girl.
But some people think it's better to wait in that
situation because that way you'll see your baby and
fall in love regardless. I loved Luke when he was
born, obviously, but seeing him didn't really do it.
I saw him and didn't really feel like he was mine so
for me, I would need the remainder of my pregnancy to
accept it. And I know I'd love another son just as
much.
Besides, I can't handle surprises! Come on, we all
want to know what you're having! Just kidding, it's
your decision!

Thanks!!! John and I both had "issues" the first week,
and then we didn't talk about it for most of this
week, but the past 2 days we finally started to come
around to it. LOL It's a shocker! Anyways, we're
looking at getting a house or something. ReMax has an
offer in the paper about combined incomes under $90k a
year, (which is us) and being first time home owners,
and they help you out with closing costs, etc. Also,
John's best friend, Rob, his (Rob) wife's uncle (can
you follow? ha ha!) he is in real estate, and so Sandy
is going to talk to him about helping us get started.
Worst case scenario we're going to rent a 2 bdrm apt
(although we're looking at renting a house). John is a
guy that doesn't show a lot of emotion, but last night
I had to call my OB after hours service because i
started spotting. He was so worried about me it was
cute! LOL (i was getting kinda scared). It's still
very light, but the doctor said it's normal this early
in pregnancy. It's so wierd because my pregnancy with
Ethan was so smooth, that I didn't experience this and
have no idea whats going on.
I don't think I want to know what I'm having this time
around. I mean, there's a curious part to me, but I'm
so decided on having a girl, that if I found out I was
having a boy (which John wants badly so he can take
him fishing with Rob's son, Ashby) I would be somewhat
bummed. How can I handle 2 boys??? LOL I NEED A GIRL
IN HERE SOMEWHERE! I have myself convinced I'm having
a girl, but we'll see what I think when 20 weeks comes
around. We may do what my cousins did, and they found
out but kept it to themselves until "it" was born. One
of them referred to it as a boy, the other as a girl,
so they wouldn't give themselves away. (they had a
girl named Haiden- universal name- no one knew!)

How's Karissa??? Big I guess! Is she keeping you on
your toes? Ethan is a pain in my butt. Since he's been
sick, he's so spoiled! He wakes up SCREAMING and won't
take no for an answer. I finally put him in the high
chair at 5:30am and turned the cartoons on and gave
him a TON of cheerios! (he had me up 2 times earlier
that night and being pg, I needed some kind of sleep).
He played and ate, and sang and clapped his hands
until about 6:45 when John had to get up for work.
Then he fussed all morning and fell asleep (finally)
on his way to daycare. (go figure) My son challenges
me DAILY!!!
