Not just tuition is soaring  
Arizona freshmen starting classes at the UA today are paying 64 percent more in 
tuition and fees than the freshmen who arrived three years ago. The average student is 
also paying nearly 13 percent more for housing, books, travel and miscellaneous 
expenses - less obvious costs that many students say cause the most pain. Consumer 
prices overall have increased about 7 percent during that same time.

from custody, federal reports show.

in English or classrooms.

Kids and college students aren't the only ones heading back to school this fall. 
Small-business owners are signing up for a variety of workshops and seminars offered

many for free or under $30.
