Ford Abandons Oracle Procurement System

The automaker has decided to stop using a procurement system that's
based on Oracle's databases and business applications and return all of
its purchasing processes to what it described as a "proven" set of
custom-developed mainframe software.

Online Sales Continue To Rise, Up 23.1% From A Year Ago

While they're still a sliver of overall U.S. retail sales, retail
online sales continued to rise in the second quarter to
$15.7 billion, according to figures released by the U.S.
Department of Commerce.

Study: E-business Customer Satisfaction On The Rise

Users of portals, news sites and search engines were a bit less
satisfied than average consumer scores overall, a University of
Michigan survey show. Scores were higher for online travel, retail,
