Hello. Just a few comments. It has been a while since I responded. I�ve been way busy.
Dr. Doolittle, does he talk and walk with the animals??? I love it. As far as vaccines go, I have spent so many hours researching them out of a fear of autism for my two boys. I did not give the MMR to my 3 year old until he was around 2.5 years old. He does not have it, thank God. My baby is 16 months and he also has not received the MMR. As far as I know, the shots are being split up again. It is the measles vaccine that is being linked to the following disorders: possible autism, IBS, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, etc� I don�t know what to believe. My son was diagnosed with partial motor seizures, which he should outgrow as his brain matures. It was shocking for us. He went to a developmetnalist and he does not have PDD or autism, but he is busy and I fear that ADHD may come out in the future. Who knows? When he started with the seizures, it was 2 months after his shots. So, I can�t link them to the shots or can I? Who knows? Doctors do say that Autism supposedly runs in families. I know of some families where several of the children have PDD, autism and bi-polar disorder, ADHD, etc. Each family out of three kids has a son or daughter with a problem. But, if it runs in families, then why doesn�t the grandparent, etc have problems? I am skeptical of lots, but I do believe that vaccinations are important for the population as a whole. I just can�t understand why so many shots are given at such a young age, that�s all. As far as spacing them out, I also did that with both my kids. I won�t give the MMR to my youngest now as they are available as separate shots. If there are no signs of autism or PDD by the time the child is 2.5 � 3.0 years, then chances are all is well. I diagnose learning disabilities for a living and because of that, I am like a hawk when I look at my kids. It is interesting that the odds of girls getting autism are 4 to 1 over boys. Why is that?
