When it comes to connecting enterprise LANs, most enterprises want

Lightpointe's FlightLite 100 is an optical wireless solution that
eliminates the need to lease T1 lines or adopt 802.11 bridging
solutions, enabling IT managers to enjoy the benefits of fiber-like
bandwidth and security at a comparable cost to a wireless solution.
The system offers 60 times the bandwidth of a standard T1 line, with
a six-month payback period.
The FlightLite 100 also provides a secure, interference-free Wi-Fi
bridging alternative at a cost-per-bit point unmatched by 802.11
solutions. Customer can enjoy full-duplex Fast Ethernet speeds
without having to trench fiber-optic cable. The system is based on free-
space optics, delivering high availability at 500 meters and 100M bits
of connectivity.
The system also offers a high level of security - in fact, optical
wireless
solutions were initially developed for use in military situations. This
means you get license-free, undetected, tap-proof secure
communications and no worries about your data, voice or video
communications ending up in the wrong hands.
