Is anyone bilingual and do you speak both languages to your children? If not would you like your children to learn another language?? I ask because I am fluent in English (obviously), Japanese and also speak Italian. I didn't start learning them until I was older but DH and I both think it would probably be an advantage for our girls to be bilingual and learn while they are young but I dont know the best way to go about it. When Keely was a baby I spoke English to her and just general chatter in the others. She now knows very little Japanese and Italian (she can hold a small conversation in both) but she has a great interest in knowing them. I was wondering if I should speak more of them around Adele or wait until she is older too. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
