TODAY'S TIP

Category: Windows XP

When Black Isn't Black

"Lately I've begun experiencing a very strange
phenomenon: Just about every lowercase "l" and "i" or "li"
combination displays as a pronounced dark-gold color,
especially the text in Help. Several very competent technical
people have worked for hours with me on this and recommend
that I do a clean reinstallation of Windows XP Professional
after all vestiges of software have been eliminated from the
computer. Before I do that I wanted to ask you if you know what
causes this phenomenon, and how I can correct it without a
drastic reinstallation of XP?"
