Week in review for Sept. 13

Where computing goes from here was the big focus of the
week, as Intel outlined a number of new initatives at IDF,
as highlighted by our coverage at PC Magazine
(http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1644852,00.asp)
eWEEK (http://www.eweek.com/category2/0,1738,1269719,00.asp),
and ExtremeTech
(http://extremetech.com/category2/0,1556,489239,00.asp).

Meanwhile, Oracle won a major battle in its Peoplesoft case,
with a District Court ruling its proposed takeover of
Peoplesoft would not violate antitrust laws
(http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1644854,00.asp).
Analysts say the company will likely raise its offer, but that
the fight will continue
(http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1644614,00.asp).

Finally, there are worries about a new virus outbreak
(http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1644713,00.asp)
though that seems to be a continuing threat.
