When Allison started potty training I used the pull up's , the pretty ones w./ all different designs on them and she loved them. I have the open door policy w./ her,,, she goes in w./ me all the time so she had the concept right away, especially when I started saying "yeah mommy, I peed". She was in pull ups, kind of at a stand still for about 3 months, sometimes using the potty, sometimes just telling me she needed a new pull up. So one Friday after I picked her up from school we put on the "padded" undies and wore them all weekend, we had 1 accident the 1st night but I just changed her and acted like it was no big deal. She did get an obscene # of treats that weekend, sips of my ice coffee, got to use my chapstick, wear daddys sunglasses, reeses pieces, etc. We went about the weekend doing everything we normally would, shopping, playing etc. An di just brought about 3 changes of clothes w./ me wherever we went. It worked! In about 3 weeks she was totally trained, both at h! ome,s chool and the grandparents! We occasionally still use "treats" for sitting on the potty, like before a long car ride when she does not want to try,,,, but it's been great, and she is so cute when she goes #1 and says Mommy is proud of me! kaity's sitter started potty training last tuesday - diapers off! she forgot to tell me to get those cloth training pants with the extra thicknesses between the legs, so k is wearing pull-ups. she personally thinks those slows down 'training'. the other girl's mom got the cloth pants at walmart but they are not there now. ideas???? miss prodigious-pisser blasts thru pull-ups. she holds it on the potty and goes when shes vertical. sigh. shes won a sticker each day for accidently going in the potty but hasent connected that she has the ability to consciously earn more stickers.
