Crafting Tips/Questions - Great Ideas From Our Readers. Tip 1 - Quail Eggs I do egg art these are very nice to have. First, you need to blow the eggs and put soap and water in and clean out. Then with a thin blade on your dremel, cut the small end off a larger one. Do this carefully as you will need both pieces. Cut some smaller ones in half. Glue a little glass bead to the top of the pointed end-then using smaller glass beads set into a square shape glue to the bottom of the larger end. use some thin wire and make a handle for one side and glue on and then bend some to resemble a spout and glue on the other side. This will make a miniature teapot. Glue the smaller egg halves to clear or white buttons to make a teacup and saucer with a small wire handle for each. You can paint them or decorate with tiny beads. Glue these all to a small craft mirror to make the serving tray. You can also make creamer and sugar from he smaller ones. Just attach handles. You can make earrings. Using a 1" head pit inserted through the holes, carefully bent into an eye at the top, and put on an ear wire or post. You can also decorate these as above. They are quite nice. Dee Beckham, Palm Bay, FL Tip 2 - We Just Did This For My Daughter�s Wedding Go to the local specialty paper store or find one online. Order/buy some cardstock of about the thickness you want for your invitations. Cut to the size of invitations fold over. Hint the cards will look better if you use a credit card of some type to bend the card over and finger crease the fold line, it makes a sharper crease. Then either glue fancy papers on the front or little charms. Wedding stores or party stores have tons of thin plastic charms or fancy little decorations. You could use the table confetti they have as there are lots of images to choose from. Then you could do as we did and cut around the card with a pair of the fancy cut scissors, you would find them also at the specialty store if you don't have any. Plain old pinking shears would also work. Then add your message with a fancy colored pen we used Gold, and make your envelopes out of fancy paper that matches the one you used on the cards.
