His resignation became effective August 7. New Bedford Harbor received a grant for navigational dredging from the State of Massachusetts. The dredging will improve the harbor and encourage business growth. Building 771, once deemed the "most dangerous building in America" by the media, has been demolished as part of the accelerated cleanup at Rocky Flats. OSRE and ORE have jointly issued a fact sheet on SEPs that target pollution sources from building or construction. An Oregon company has agreed to complete several supplemental environmental projects in exchange for a reduction in penalty for violations. EPA released the 2002 Toxics Release Inventory on June 23. The data informs the public about toxic chemical releases in their community. A former leaking underground storage tank site in DC is undergoing remediation. Once the cleanup is complete, the new ATF headquarters will be built on the site.
