how well students are prepared academically for them, according to a national report 
card coming out today.

Unlikely allies help rare turtle in Sonora 
SAN CARLOS, Sonora - A round-the-clock vigil by government and private wildlife 
managers that lasted for weeks ended Monday with the disappointing news that only one 
of 52 eggs in a nest made by a breed of marine turtle that's unexpected so far north 
along Sonora's coast had not been destroyed by high temperatures and heavy rains.

Credibility of Woods on '200' hit 
PHOENIX - The author of Proposition 200 has accused the chairman of the opposition 
committee of having no credibility because he violated immigration laws. Kathy McKee 
noted that Grant Woods was cited and fined $1,400 in 1993 on two charges relating to 
knowingly employing someone not in this  country legally as a nanny for his children. 
What makes it worse, she said, is he was the state's attorney general at the time.
