check resolution - 5 new

On Thu, 16 Sep 2004 19:09:01 +0100, "Mike Williams" ... I just decided to go
to 96dpi, create the forms and then see what it looks like at 120. What would
be nice is if the forms could be defined in such a way that a form designed at
120dpi would look the same at 96dpi (albiet a bit larger), but that's probably
rather difficult. * Robinson (and while I'm wishing, I'd like a banana

... Hi all, 3 questions: 1) In the above code doesn't the /u switch UNregister
the dll's? 2) I've also seen /q and /s switches for regsvr32. What do they do
and where can I get info on regsvr32 usage? 3) Is it true that if I put the
dll in the app's directory then the app will find the dll's functions and I

parsing string data - all new
----------------------------------
I'm grabbing a series of values from a text source where the number of values
changes daily. they are comma seperated but there are about 1000 values on
average. I'm having trouble separating the values as they exceed the max
number that excel can manage on a single line. does anyone have an idea how
to seperate the values? possibly vbcrlf or another way to establish multi
lines of data as opposed to one long one? thank you ... - Fri, Sep 17

Collections Design Question - 3 new
----------------------------------
We have created a small library with three classes. The first is a class with
3 props. The second represents a collection of the first class. The third
contains code to manage the collection (populated by data from a db). The
third class exposes a prop typed as the collection class. What I want to do
is simply return the collection. However is it true that I cannot "hide"
both the collection and "type" class? It just seems strange to me that the
user (the next developer) can see the collection class in the dev environment..

Running VB for multiple spreadsheets - 2 new
----------------------------------
I am currently using VB to analyze data using MS Excel. For ease of looking
at the data, I have multiple spreadsheets all in the same workbook; each use
the same program logic but with the input and output specific to each
spreadsheet. To run the program for each spreadsheet I am manually moving
between the spreadsheets and click on the run button each time. This takes
forever and herein lies the question. Is there a way for me to run the
program once for all of the spreadsheets and have all the data input... -

LinePrint is rounding my variant - 6 new
----------------------------------
Hello, I am LinePrinting some large numeric variables to a file in evb.
LinePrint seems to be rounding the decimal portion of my variable. For example,
123456789.2. I know it's doing math at a much high decimal resolution, but it
only prints one. Is there a way of printing the full resolution of my decimal
place? Thanks, Thomas ... - Fri, Sep 17 2004 8:47 am

More on "Disabling the Ctrl + P " - 9 new
----------------------------------
I thank those who replied to my last post, and have tried the keypress event,
which works fine as long as there is no webbrower on the page. My reason for
needing this information is that I have a lot of information that will be
available from my website (Paysite), if people are able to print out the
information then it will not be worth the effort to continue with this
project. My idea was to somehow stop the "Ctrl P " function by detecting the
keystrokes, but as I have a webbrower on the form it will not work.... -

A Mathmatical Question - 3 new

Let me start with the code, then I will get to the question. Okay here is the
code snippet that does what I am trying to do. Select Case Index ... End
Select Index is a number from 1 to 10. Here is what this is doing.. I have
a sub menu with 10 menu items that changes the number of table rows that a
small rectangle like object called an entity holds. The oEntity.Bottom is a
method related to the Entity object that gets or sets the bottom of the entity,
where .Top is the same for the top. When an entity has 1 table row in it, it

Even More on Ctrl +P Disable - 2 new
----------------------------------
Thanks for everybodys input, but I am still lost as what to do. Waht I find
hard to work out is why I can capture keystrokes on a form, no problem, but
as soon as I put a webbrowser on the form it no longer works ? Is it posible
to rename or more correctly reasign a key with a new value so that if the
user does press Ctrl + P then the value is changed ? I am not too worried by
screen capture as there are many pages and it would become just too much work
for them to bother. I would be very grateful for any other... - Fri,

How to Programmatically get System Info? - all new
----------------------------------
Question: How can i write code to get info about the system? For example,
in VB6, you can go to Help / About MS Visual Basic / System Info, and get a
window showing a system summary with things like Processor, BIOS version,
System Mfc, etc. I would like to write code that would fetch and capture this
type of info. Is this possible with Visual Basic, or do I need to get into
other kinds of code or interfaces? Thanks in advance for pointing me in the
right direction! - Ben ... - Fri, Sep 17 2004 8:53 pm
