It IS faster, but unfortunately, after entering a few paragraphs, it too slows down to point where it can't keep up with each character typed. Actually, it's the list that slows things down. Once there's more than a couple hundred words in it, refreshing it takes quite a long time. As the number of words increases, the more it slows down.
