phew - i am glad you came thru ok! we were watching
the various hurricaines this season. i have been thru a few myself,
tho hubby hasn't.
hubby and i went thru the fire here in 2000, evacuating
just ahead of the flames. with us were 1 dog, 1 cat and 1
parrott. it of course made me think of facing such a disaster again, this
time with Kaity being 2 1/4 yrs old. that was very sobering. to keep
busy during the days of being a fire refugee, my girlfriend and i babysat kids
of our friends who were still fighting the fire. seeing that, smaller,
disaster thru their eyes is something i will never forget.
i hope none of the rest of us were/are in such dire
straights.

Hi everyone,
For those who don't know me I have been on this list over a year now but have not been very active lately due to many things going on in my life. I have kept up with reading the emails most of the time but just have not found the time to reply though there are many I would have liked to reply to. For those who do not know I live in Puerto Rico. We are in hurricane season & this past month there have been numerous hurricane watches & warnings. Many thankfully did not hit us though I feel for those who have been affected elsewhere. This past week one finally did hit that was the hurrican Jeanne which is now a tropical storm. When it hit us it was going at 70 mph with much higher wing gusts. It left the island with some damage & all of us where left without water or electricity. I am fortunate and got my electricity & water back today many are not as lucky &a mp; still dealing with the aftermath. Between everyday life & this hectic hurricane season I am even more behind than usual. I did however want to let everyone know I am alive & still here. I hope to be more active at some point. Take care!
