Angela,

Hi!!!  Things are going good!!  No I wasn't able to get her into head start because they met their quotia for the year.  I have been told that if a space opens up then they will try and get her in.  But I'm not holding my breath.   Head start is a governement funded program to help children get ready for school, basically a pre-school.  It's there for those of us that simply can't afford the pre-school costs.  The government pays the bill or depending on your finances part of the cost.  But she isn't taking it too hard.  I told her that she would most certainly start Kindergarden next year after she turns five.  She informed me that as soon as Christmas was over she wanted her birthday so she can start school.  The child has her priorities!!!  She was also worried that there wouldn't be enough room for her in the kindergarden next year and I to ld her there is always room in kindergarden!!  So she asked me to take her Strawberry shortcake backpack that her Grandma gave her for her birthday and put it away till she starts school.  She wants to use it to carry her things and she is worried that Issy might break it before she gets a chance to use it!!  Anyways she and I sit down each day and work on her letter, numbers, shapes, and colors.  She loves it.  At least she will be ready!!  Issy and Anni are doing great!!!  Issy is starting the temper tantrum stage!!  Lots of fun there but if I got Katie through it I will get Issy through it though there are days I wonder about my sanitity!!  Anni is now starting to talk she calls me Ma Ma!!!  I'm the only one she will say it too!!  I am so excited.  Both Katie and Issy said Da Da first.  She is in such a hurry to catch up with her big sisters.  ; When I put her down on the floor now she takes off after the girls!!  If they are having a game of chase she tries to join in.  It's funny because the girls will tell her No No baby you too little!!!  And I am keeping an eye on Issy's knees.  I worry too much according to the DH but with the eye problem she has problems running and playing sometimes.  The problem with her eye causes some vision problem and so she falls alot!!  She just miss judges the distances and runs into things which is common with Brown's syndrome.  Then adding the knobby knees I worry.  But it doesn't stop her so that make me feel better.  Every time she hurts herself she runs to me for a hug and a kiss and she takes off again.  Any ways that is my news for now!!!  Hope you have a great week!!  And glad things are going great with you kids!!  Take care.

Catherine, how are things going with you? Wow, crawling and pulling up hey? I think they try that extra young with consecutive children just because they see older siblings running around and want so much to keep up with them. I know Xander is happiest when he can go in the jolly jumper and at least be as much in the middle of things as possible, or even scootching around on the floor chasing after his brothers. he tries so hard to keep up with them.

I'm so glad Issy's appt went well. Mackie's a bit knock-kneed too, so i totally understand that. i think as long as you encourage her to sit flat on her bum with legs out in front of her, instead of on her knees, it should start to remedy itself.

Have you gotten a hold of Head Start yet? hopefully something works out for that! I'd love to put the boys in something like that, but we definitely can't afford it, and they get alot of social interaction at home between the 4 of them anyway I think. no better way to learn to share i suppose.

anyway, gotta run!
