So, there is a new chip maker on the block. Well, at the moment I
do not think that Intel or AMD is really all that concerned since both
companies have a pretty decent foothold in their target markets.
Silicon Optix's target market seems to be in the home entertainment

Even with the press stating that Gateway has had some struggles
with their work in the home entertainment market, they seem to have
some great products out there. Take the AR-230 Home Theater DVD
Recorder for instance. TweakNews.net seemed to be pretty impressed all
and all with this device and their review seems to reflect that....

bandwidth that PCI express allows for. ATI has announced that new
technology they have managed to come up with will allow for the full
benefits of PCI expressed to be realized on their graphic boards....

Hi-Definition technology by the horns as we hop, skip and tumble
