Weaver wilts in loss
Dodgers: SAN DIEGO -- At a time when it was apparent they could count on nothing else -- not their sputtering offense, not a rotation held together by duct tape and not even a once-reliable bullpen that now appears to be running on fumes -- the free-falling Dodgers thought they could count on the man who has emerged this season as the unquestioned ace of their starting staff.
