I couldn't get into see my midwife today so I talked to her on the phone instead. I told her how I didn't want to be induced and she said they don't start thinking about that until I am at LEAST a week overdue, if not longer. However, when I mentioned that I was afraid of having a big boy because of how large my son was (8lbs 5oz, 2 weeks early) she questioned if I had had an u/s lately. When I said I hadn't since 20wks and because of the greatly decreased movement I have had some days, she had me get an u/s today.
Well, baby is weighing approx 8lbs 14oz (+ or - 15 oz though) and his head is measuring about 13.4 inches (Justin's head when he was born was 13 1/4 inches and Sierra's was 13 1/2). However, he is measuring 8 days behind which gives an EDD of Oct 18th (plus or minus 2wks, so that doesn't mean much)......last u/s at 20wks said Oct 5th due date and my official due date is the 10th. His femur is only measuring approx 37.4 weeks so I think that affected the average, thus affecting the due date (Darrell has short legs, as do my kids lol). They also did a Bio-Physical Profile and all looked good (at least thats what it seemed by what the ultrasound tech said). I haven't heard from my midwife since so I assume she will just talk to me on Wed when she sees me.
So all in all, I didn't learn much from this u/s except that I will be having at least an 8lb baby and the head size is the biggest I want it to be! ROFL Can I say I want this baby to come NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and my friend who is 38wks and has GD (on insulin), is now going to be induced on Friday! lol We are going to be close. And they are naming their boy Aden (lol, close to Kaden!). Unfortunately she told me that she found out today that my midwife Anne will be out of town this weekend. So another reason to want this baby to come this week, ON HIS OWN!!!
