TODAY'S BIZARRE FILE:

Wichita, Kansas - Matthew Cuellar went to an auction, bid and won James
Rosati's 1981 four piece sculpture "Upright Form V." Sounds great, but city
officials had made a terrible mistake. Cuellar discovered the importance of
the sculptures and was determined to get them. He had claimed one piece and
when he went to purchase two more auction workers refused upon realizing
that he wasn't buying scrap metal. They won't take his money or turn over
the sculptures. Cuellar was contacted by city attorney's office asking for
the return of the art work. He has determined the value and will only
accept one-third to return it. "If I'd later found out it was just scrap
metal," he said, "they wouldn't give me my money back." So don't sell or
throw anything away, it could be worth something.
