Volcano up close: Unmanned aircraft from Tucson to aid monitoring of crater 
A Tucson firm is preparing to send its unmanned aerial vehicles into the crater of 
Mount St. Helens to help government scientists monitor the rumbling volcano. Advanced 
Ceramics Research sent a six-member team to Washington state last week, invited by the 
U.S. Geological Survey to experiment with flying its UAVs in volcanoes.
