Recipe of the Day From Our Readers: Best Dill Pickles Cucumbers 1qt.vinegar 2qt.water 1cup canning salt Dill heads or seeds Place 2 heads of dill in jar, or 2tsp.dill seed, 1 clove of garlic and then fill jar with cucumbers. Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil. Fill jars and seal with lids. Make sure you boil lids in water so they seal the jars. Wait one month before opening. Cooking Tip of the Day: I bake and decorate cakes and use this pan release recipe and my cake comes out of the pan easily. It also works with bread and muffins if you don't use the liners. Mix well equal parts of vegetable shortening, oil, and flour. Spread over the bottom and sides of pans. Even the character pans that have crevices, etc., work well with this. I have small spatulas that I use to spread the mixture.
