ROTFLOL! Mel,
you crack me up!!!!
First of all,
for the most part the "d" of the dh is supposed to stand for "dear". I realize
that it probably depends on the day though, LOL! It can also be replaced
by dumb, dipshit, doughhead.......
Secondly, for now I don't work out of the house (some days, like
today, I hardly work IN the house either, LOL!). I plan to when
Donovan is a bit older but for now I am sooo busy with him (he'll be 2 at
the end of January) and getting Zack (4) to & from preschool plus
helping neighbors with their kids and trying to figure out who I am after
being with someone for 10 years then finding myself alone dealing with 2 kids.
So, I just don't have anything left to put towards a job right
now.
You asked how
it was being a single mom. Well, I do enjoy the independance, especially in
the money area where he was AWFUL and we were always messed up financially.
Now I can do whatever I want with my money and if I want to be, I am really
good with it. I am even able to get a small amount of savings for things like
my trip to Cali in Dec and stuff. But when it comes to
being exhausted after dealing with the boys by myself all day, I could
definately use a second set of hands. Now that I have a guy in my life, I am
also remembering how great it is to have someone to cuddle with when I am
falling asleep (it doesn't count when they are less than 3 feet tall and kick
all night, LOL!) and watching movies. Having him live so far away really
kicks me in the teeth about missing that part of a relationship in
my life. We talk on the phone A LOT but it's not the same as a real hug, ya
know?
Luckily I
still have a great friendship with my ex, even after all that we have been
through and he is an awesome dad with them. (I'm not sure what I have told you
guys about our relationship and what happened so if you know nothing
about it, just ask. I am not ashamed at all to talk about it.) He has the boys
every second weekend from Friday evening to Sunday evening and opposite
weekends Saturday evening to Sunday evening. He is also really great
about helping me with them when I want to see Chris (like taking a day off
work at Thanksgiving so I could spend an extra day away). Though he wasn't
around a whole lot near the end when we were still together so he does owe me
a lot. But, when all is said and done, he is very accomodating if I ask him so
I try to be a bit more lenient with him when he does his bonehead stunts and
it's all about him again. He is still a GUY after all, LOL!
BTW, MSN
Messenger is easy... just go to www.msn.com
and click on "Messenger". Download the program and sign in with your
hotmail e-mail address. Then add people's hotmail or msn e-mail addresses to
your list and you can chat with them when they are online.
Oh yeah, you
are smarter than I am - yes, I am in New West... I can't remember where you
live... sorry... my bad!!!
Ok, enough procrastinating, LOL! I have
things to do around here and I should be doing them.
Talk to you
soon!!!
Betty
:o)
"hey", I'm not one of those people who frown on
hanging around in bed in the morn! I'm terrible, I get most of my sleep from
about 4am till when ever the kids run in and drag me out!! I don't make
my hubby's lunch or get up with him, and I know that is frowned upon, but that
doesn't bother me a bit!!! I haven't changed much at all since the day
he married me, so he knew I was anything but a morning person!!! What do
I do late at night, well I have quite a few fav night TV shows, ER,
ThirdWatch, Survivor, Apprentice, and now and then I jump on the odd band
wagon of a few others!!! Grace stays up pretty late, she goes to
bed when I do, I have to still pretty much, well I do totally monitor her
eating! She's a peanut! 14pds 6ounces, at 9.5mos old so It's
instilled in me to count everything! I'm definately not the greatest
housekeeper, so at night I fold millions of piles of laundary, and pudder
around!!! So do you stay at home Betty, or do you work out of the house
during the day? How are you liking being on your own? The complete
independence must be nice above all, hey, or no? It sure is a beautiful
day here today, If I remember correctly, you are living in New Wes?
Okay, and one more question on the computer lingo, DH, I'm sure its for
Husband, but what is the D for? Every time I read that quote I think of
Dumb! Terrible, I know, but my little brain can't quite figure that
out! No I am not on MSN, I tried to get on by myself but no luck, I have
to get a friend, or sis, to show me one day, then, that sounds great to chat
with you! Anyway, thanks for reading! Have a wonderful
weekend!

LOL at me
staying up late, Mel! I ALWAYS am up way later than I "should" be. Like
you said... it's so quiet! I call it "my" time 'cause other
than on weekends, it's the only time I really get to myself. Luckily my
boys are awesome for letting me sleep in. This morning we had nothing
planned so I was in bed until after 10!!! Yes, I am spoiled, LOL! I call it
"Survival of a Single Mom", LOL! My trick? I broke down and bought a tv for
my bedroom a few months after I asked my dh to leave. So when the
boys wake up, I bring them into my room and let them watch kids
shows until I am ready to wake up. Some people may frown on that but I
say ya do what ya gotta do. We always have such bonding sessions in bed
in the mornings once I am awake but before we get up. We are always in
hysterics and silly. It is a blast!
What do you
do when yu are up late? I will sometimes chat on MSN. Do you have it? If so,
feel free to add me to your list if ya like! It's the same as my paypal
e-mail.
Have a good
one!
Betty

Glad to hear all is well Betty! Your big
plans sound wonderful! I stay up pretty late always, and friends, and
fam are always getting on me about that, so it is nice to see, (when your
email came) others w children do the same!!! It's so quiet, I can't
resist!!! The jewlery thing is pretty cool, are you a SAHM? I'm
always wondering if I should be doing something just for me in that sense,
yes I'm sure doing it for the money is a reason, but if you enjoy it, than
there is other perks too! Bye for now,

Hello everyone!
Thanks for
asking about me, Mel. Congrats on your eldest being in K. How did you feel
about that? Glad to hear that preschool is helping your son's speech and
temper. I have had Zack in preschool for a year and a half now and he
LOVES it. Though, we have also been walking my neighbor's girl to K
so now he wants to go to school with her instead of to his school, LOL!
YEAH Grace on sitting up!!!
Hi Lisa! Sorry to hear about the H, F & M.
That went through our house when Zack was about 2.5 and, lucky me, caught
it too. I was 6 or 7 mo pg!! Zack had so many sores in his
mouth that he wouldn't eat at all for a few days (the good part was that
he was too sore to suck the soother so we FINALLY got rid of it then,
LOL!) and had them on his hands but none on the feet. I could not eat
for a few days (not fun when you are pg!) but hands and feet didn't get
much of anything on them.
So,
for those of you who are wondering how things are going around here...
It's all good. :o) I have seen Chris almost every weekend since we
met (I think this will be the 3rd weekend that we've missed in almost 2
months so that's not too bad). He has come down to see us a couple of
times, drove us down to Creston, BC to visit my parents then came down the
next weekend to stay with us there. Thanksgiving, I spent 5 child-free
days at my parents' with Chris as well.
Things are
really going well between us. In fact, he just asked me to spend
Christmas with him in California at his parents' place!!!! I have never
been to Cali before so that in itself is very cool (they live in the Napa
Valley) but to want me to spend the holidays with his family must mean
that this is more than just a fling to him.
Of
course, I want to spend the holidays with my boys so to make it work out
for everyone I have had to do some fancy planning and it sounds like it is
going to work out well. As soon as Zack is done school, we are going to
hop on a bus and head out to my parents'. Hopefully my brother, his wife
and the twins will be able to come down early and we will have a "mock"
Christmas morning with the kids. A few days before Christmas we will
come home and the boys will go to their dad's for actual Christmas (he
didn't see them for 3 weeks during the holidays last year so it's only
fair that he has them this year, as hard as it will be for me to be
without them that morning) andChris & I will drive down to Cali
for the week. I am SOOOOO excited!!!!!
Also, Chris has asked me to come with the boys
to his place just out of Calgary for a week in November. That will depend
on what kind of deals that the bus will give me as a family rate.
Hopefully it is feasible because it would be wonderful to spend more
time with him. Not to mention what a great test it would be on how well he
deals with kids, LOL!
So it looks
like the next while will be all about me staying home and saving my
money, LOL! I am making and selling hemp jewelry (I sent out an
e-mail but I'm not sure it went through... If anyone is interested in
hemp necklaces, anklets or bracelets, I make it custom to
whatever you are wanting. If anyone is wanting to get anything for
themself or as a gift for someone, please e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] for prices and
with any questions you may have. I have pics of what I have already
made so you can see my work.)
So, that is
my life in a nutshell. I hope that all is well with everyone and that you
will all update us with your lives soon.
Take care!
Betty :o) mom to Zack
