Hi everyone! It's great to see some chit chat on this list!
Hi to Leanne, Karen, Mel, Betty, and Lisa. Sorry to hear about the
recent (and past) Hand Foot and Mouth disease. It sounds awful for
everyone involved. I'm thankful we've been able to miss that - so
far.
Karen, sorry to hear your dh isn't being swayed by the French Immersion
arguments. You still have time, he might come around! My Hayley just
loves it. She's learning so much, in general, and so cool that she's
learning lots of it in French! She can read a bit in English and now she's
starting to read in French too.
Betty, your relationship with Chris sounds wonderful!! I'm so glad to
hear it's going well. As a single Mom who's been through a bit, you really
deserve this happiness. He's obviously really into you and making a
big effort to see you as much as possible. It will be interesting to see
how you, Chris, and your boys manage as a group! Napa Valley!!! I
went to California for my honeymoon. We spent a few days in San Francisco
and drove to and around Napa Valley. Absolutely gorgeous!!! You'll
love it. Even the drive down the coast will be lots of fun. It's
also really nice to hear that you are able to get along well with your ex -
that's so important for your boys' sakes.
Mel, I'm glad to hear that things are going well for your daughter in
French Immersion. What made you make the switch after just a couple of
weeks at regular school? It's great to hear that your son settled into
pre-school so quickly! Congrats to baby Grace on sitting up! I just
love all those milestones. They're always so exciting.
I'm a real night owl too! I feel like I just get a second wind at
11pm and could go all night! I have to make myself go to bed by midnight
or 1am because our day is up and running too early for me. I am NOT a
morning person and never have been. I can still remember my Mom trying to
get me up to go to public school!
We've been staying busy. Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving?
We spent some time with my side of the family and some with dh's side. My
niece had her third birthday that weekend, so her birthday party was a combo
Princess Party/ Traditional Thanksgiving Meal, complete with birthday cake and
pumpkin pie LOL!
Right now I'm busily sewing some Halloween costumes. Rachel wants to
be Snow White, I've started that. Hayley wants to be a ballerina.
She'll wear her regular ballet outfit and I'm making her a tutu out of pink and
sparkly tulle. Sam has been so indecisive! I haven't even bought him
a pattern yet. Lately he's wanted to be a pumpkin, which I think would be
so cute, so I hope he sticks with that idea!
How has everyone else been? We'd love to get everyone's
updates!!
Martha
