registers??..that can be bit of work in assembly .its
been some time i worked in assembly..any way.
u got two way to get the printing done..(i assume u r
working in a dos environment)
method 1:(by directly writing to screen memory)
the charecters u see in dos screen are actually a
portion of memory..(i don remember the correct
location
but i think it starts from B800:0000 ) so if u write a
value of 48 (ascii value of charecter '0') at location
B800:0000 u get a '0' on the top left part of
screen..next location is the attribute value of the
preceding charecter..so if u change A000:0001 u get
this like a '0' in blue background..or blinking '0'
etc..for ur problem this is not relavent..stick to
even numberd locations..u ll be fine..
method 2:(using BIOS service 0x0A,int 0x10)
just do the following
mov ah,0x0a
mov al,48 //'ascii code of the char u wnt 2 prnint'
mov bh,0
mov cx,1
int 0x10
this portion of code will put a '0 at current cursor
position..
note:
in oreder to print registers u need to conver the
value in register to a string..if u got value 143 in
ax..and if u print using 143 in al..u ll get the
charecter which has the ascii code of 143...
so u have to make the string "143" from value 143..try
to figure it out urself.......regards max
