More likely it's the M250 replacement that's been rumored for a while.
The rumor mill has been speculating on a three model lineup with the Esprit
replacement coming out first and a mid-level GT coupe slated to fit in between the
Elise and the Esprit-2 (for wont of a better name) sometime after that. The Autocar
description fits the mid-level GT coupe's rumors pretty well as does the current level
of testing.
Now, as for it being a Boxster figher, wierd choice. It's more of a base 911 fighter
if anything since it's a closed GT.
