John Kerry too weak and wavering for wartime leadership Thursday while the Democrat held Bush responsible for missing explosives in Iraq. "The commander in chief is not getting his job done," Kerry said. The blunder should cost Bush his presidency, the challenger argued. The Republican incumbent fired back: "John Kerry is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time." FISHMONGERS SEE SIGNS OF GOOD STONE CRAB SEASON Early stone crab success gives hope to some local fishmongers, who said this year's season shows initial signs of besting last year's results. "I don't think it's the best season in 10 or 15 years," Ken Moss, general manager of Kirk Fish Co. in Goodland, said. "But it's better than the last couple." Stone crab season began Oct. 15 and ends May 15. Antonio Almazan, manager of Capri Fisheries in Naples, said his boats had increased production by between 10 and 15 percent over last year's season. Their campaign ended successfully Tuesday with a vote by Collier County commissioners to approve the $750,000 project. Talk about Wiggins Pass might only be getting started.
