ELECTION: On the eve of the biggest election in recent memory and with political tensions stretched taut between two camps in a polarized nation, Collier County may stand out in the normalcy that most election and party officials say they expect Tuesday. ELECTION: Americans may still suffer embarrassment and bitterness after it took weeks of court challenges to decide the winner of the 2000 presidential election. But it was those events, in part, that drew a top-level government official from Togo, Africa, to Naples on Sunday to observe the American election process in the coming days. FERTILITY CLINIC TO OPEN: Collier County is getting younger, enough to prompt the arrival of a fertility center to aid couples in their quest to have children. A reproductive endocrinologist who has operated a fertility center in Sarasota since 1997 is branching out to Naples, opening a similar clinic at 1152 Goodlette-Frank Road. The Naples clinic is scheduled to open Nov. 15.
