AIDE is definitly not like that : simple directories hierarchy, emacs/glide (

... This is only true if this is a pass-by-copy type (scalar, etc). If the
type is pass-by-reference (tagged, etc), then yes, you can depend on the

the AI-302 containers depend on this behavior.) ... - Sun, Oct 31 2004 6:

How to install GNatCom and GWindows - missing Tom.ads file?? - 4 new
----------------------------------
Hi, I'm trying to install GWindows, but the output as shown below is displayed
in the console. Apparently something about a "tom.tlb" file and another named
"tom.ads" ... no such files seem to be on my entire hard drive ... Searching
in Google, I only found the advice to add the Gnatcom\Tools directory to my
PATH, but I still get the same result. (Also, when trying to compile the
samples shipped with gnatcom, for several files I get an error telling me that
"ie.ads" was not found - I don't have a file named... - Sun, Oct 31 2004

Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) Ada Algorithm - all new

... Well, it wasn't I who did the making. But I'll offer the "conventional"
explanation: application writers are wise to select specific types to
represent the numeric quantities, and the generic formal in such packages as
"generic_real_arrays" is instantiated to reflect those application-specific
types. <...> I developed a ... I'm not sure I followed that claim; you
might consider posting an example (folks here are pretty constructive, so you

visibility of private incomplete types - all new

... At last! An answer to a long-standing annoyance I found with the language.
.. how to put the full type declarations (implementations) into the package
body, where they belong! I had thought it was meant to be possible, but had
never seen exactly how. (presumably this one way to get physical isolation
between different components in a large system, so changes to data types don't
trigger recompilation of everything) time to tidy up some old code of mine...
Thanks for pointing this out, guys!... - Sun, Oct 31 2004 4:40 pm

violates a constraint. (Or pass as parameter or return as value, since in C
those are always semantically equivalent to assignment.) You can write the
