    Your Red Sea Experience
    Dick Onarecker
    Mark 3:1-5; Hebrews 11:23-29

If you have ever been convicted by the Lord, you may have also experienced fear. Often times God will call us to do something that in ourselves seems impossible. In the sermon "Your Red Sea Experience," we see Moses in this situation. Moses was in a place at the Red Sea where he needed to make a decision - to either take control himself or to accept God's calling. Parting the sea seemed an impossible task for just a man - and it was. But as we see in the scriptures, Moses had to die to his own strength and knowledge and trust in the Lord.

In our everyday lives, God calls us to do what may seem like impossible tasks, anything from confessing a certain sin to giving up a career to go in a different direction. But He also calls us to surrender our own strength to him so that we can accomplish His plans for us. This sermon outlines the process we must take to die to ourselves and to live for Christ.

     Quotes of the Week
So many times we say that we can't serve God because we aren't whatever is needed. We're not talented enough or smart enough or whatever. But if you are in covenant with Jesus Christ, He is responsible for covering your weaknesses, for being your strength. He will give you His abilities for your disabilities!

I know the power obedience has of making things easy which seem impossible.
