HACKERS REOPEN STOLEN CODE STORE WITH CISCO WARES

An anonymous group of malicious hackers reopened an online store that
sells the stolen source code of prominent software products and is
offering the code for Cisco Systems Inc.'s PIX firewall software to
interested parties for $24,000, according to messages posted in online
discussion groups.

IN BRIEF: XEROX SHIPS NEW NETWORK, DESKTOP PRINTERS

Xerox Corp. this week introduced new printers, including a high-speed
network laser printer, a desktop laser printer, an entry-level
multifunction copier/printer, and a small workgroup fax machine. The
black-and-white products are the latest offerings to support Xerox's
strategy of delivering systems that scale from the personal desktop up
to large workgroups or departments.
The Xerox Phaser 5500 network laser printer for office workgroups prints
at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and comes standard with a 500MHz PowerPC processor
and 128MB of RAM. It is priced starting at $2,499.  The Xerox Phaser
3150 desktop laser printer has 22ppm print speed and comes with 32MB of
memory and a 166MHz processor. It is priced at $349. The Xerox
WorkCentre PE 120/120i multifunction device can print, copy, scan, and
fax and is priced starting at $549. The Xerox FaxCentre F116/F116L's
capabilities include printing, color network scanning, and
scan-to-e-mail. It is priced at $999.
