I Was fishing over at a farm pond yesterday, �the one that I caught
that 20 lb. channel cat out of awhile back. There has been a 16 ft.
RANGER boat sunk out in about ten or twelve inches of water. Well, I
asked the owner about it and he's not too sure what's leaking, only
that his grandkids tried to use it a couple years back, and that's
where it has been ever since . But he is tired of seeing it there &
tells me if I can get it out of the muck, I can have it.( He also has
an older 35 horse Mercury, that's been sitting around for awhile &
needs a little work too!)
My fishing buddy hooked up his 4x4 to it, and drug it out of there. I
borrowed a trailer and hauled it home. When I got to looking it over,
I found a 8-10 inch crack in it about where the front roller on a
trailer would be, and there was no drain plug in it! I'm quite good
at working with fiberglass, and see another good winter project for
this year. Some of the carpet needs replaced and the seats need some
work. The recirculating live well works fine! I'll have to buy a
trailer for it ,�or maybe lengthen the one I
have. I'm thinking there's gonna be some comfortable fishing for me
next year! I'll take some before & after pictures of my new project...
