I have a question about declaring variables.
I’m trying to divide for example:
1000 / .10
When I use float as the variable types I
get 0 as the answer.
Float cash, shares
Max = cash/shares
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Eric Madej

Sarvex,
Thanks a lot for dealing with someone like me who is lacking in linux
skills. I tried specifying a path to the program I made in cygwin and it work!
Do you know how to set paths in cygwin?
Thanks again,
Eric Madej

CYGWIN like other *nix does
not include the current directory in the
execution path. If you are trying to run
application through the BASH
shell provided by CYGWIN, give the full path of
the executable binary.
i.e. ./test123.....
Hope it helps.....

Actually that’s what I wrote. I made a typo
in here. I tried this…
GCC testoct11.c –o test123
…when that was typed in after trying to run
the program I got a command
not found error.
WTF lol

#<include stdio.h> this should read
#include<stdio.h>

I finally got the cygwin working but I’m
have problems getting a simple
program working. It does not fail compiling but
when you run it the
program doesn’t print to screen.
There program is:
#<include stdio.h>
int main()
{
printf(
“test test test \n”);
}
When I run it nothing happens. I’m using this
command to compile:
gcc tect.c –o test
When that is run I get a file:
Test.exe
Cygwin seems really useful. Thanks for all your
help so far.
