If you haven't got the time to invest, or are unable to "sell" then use a broker / dealer - otherwsie do it yourself if you want to save money.

In my experience no - brokers have to balance making a sale with commission earned - they seem to favour money in the bank over possibly more money.

No harder than selling anything else.  The object is to bring the product together with the person who desires the product.  As Jim notes, your potential buyers are already looking, and probablt know what they want, and how much it's "worth" - note "worth" is how much they are prepared to give you to take over ownership.

Showing it is fine - test sails aren't part of selling the boat - your role here is as seller, not sailing school or free charter boat operator.  Don't take anyone for a sail unless it's the sea-trial to seal the deal, after the contract is signed, and deposit taken.

You set the price - at what the dealer / broker would set it at.  You then have the benefit of negotiating away without biting into your return had a dealer / broker been involved, and still giving the buyer a sense of having got a bargain.
