The Mk I has a sliding top.  You really don't need a pop top as long as you
have the dodger that originally came with the boat.  The dodger gives you
covered standing headroom by the companionway, like the pop top.  And I find
the sliding hatch far superior to the pop top in nearly every way.  I would
never switch to a pop top from a slider.  In fact, the sliding hatch is one
reason we moved from a 24 Mk I to an F/C-31 with a sliding hatch.
