Well Kathleen, that is one way to look at it.
(Although I am sure those that created the
segregated bath houses were not thinking of
themselves as "prejudiced against families.")

On the other hand, having an environment where I
am not "leared" at by men who don't know how to
behave in a co-ed nude situation is rather
refreshing. And a public, free bath house is just
the sort of place where that could and probably
would be a problem.

In private, paid facilities there are enforced
behavior standards. Out in the wild, so to speak,
you takes your chances. But then, these places
aren't usually as accessable as Tecopa. AND there
is no enforcement of anything at Tecopa.

I would love to say that Tecopa is old and from
another time, and that would be true. However, the
world is no more friendly to co-ed nude recreation
"now" than it was "then."

I spend a lot of time at family-oriented nudist
resorts. And you would be amazed at the "fear of
exposure" nudists live with. They fear for their
jobs. They fear that their pictures will end up on
the internet due to cell phones. I don't share
this fear. But I do respect why it exists.

Cheers,

Robin

If you want to soak with your son go to the free
"ditch" that folks here have mentioned. I for one
liked having a women's bath house. Not that I am
 against co-ed. I just also enjoy a women's only
environment as well. And with the free "ditch"
you
 can have what you want.

I have always boycotted tecopa because of their
prejudice against families
soaking together. I have NEVER been to another hot
spring that practices that
prejudice.
There are plenty out there and I keep busy with
them.
Three chears for places where all are welcome to
soak together. I am sure that there are those of
certain religions and races and (sexes too
as you describe) and ages and sexual orientation
that want to perpetuate
prejudice --- they can have at it. I have found
plenty of places that welcome all! Kathleen
