Welcome to the PCMag.com Security Watch Newsletter. Every
week we bring you an overview of the current viruses, worms,
and other threats and the information you need to combat
them.

This week saw the announcement of several vulnerabilities in
Microsoft products, one Cisco and one Symantec product. Read
the details in our Top 5 Vulnerabilities section.
http://ct.enews.pcmag.com/rd/cts?d=184-1244-14-56-53809-118451-0-0-0-1

Almost all viruses set themselves to run every time you run
Windows, and they usually do this via the Run keys. Learn
what these and other mysterious things are in Jargon Watch.

And while you're surfing the Web keep an eye out for popup
ads that masquerade as system security alerts. Whether or
not the vendor has a meritorious product, such ads are
deserving of your distrust. See one of them in this week's
Security Tip

Security Tip: Ads Masquerading As Security Warnings

Popup windows are always disturbing, but if you get a
warning out of the blue that you might have a security
problem it's doubly disturbing.
