A bid by Romanian factory workers to save their jobs
by donating sperm has been named one of the world's
worst business ideas.
Nearly 100 men from the ARO Campulung factory
last year offered to donate sperm and pay the money
to the company to save their jobs. But each of the
workers would have needed to donate sperm 400
times to raise the money the firm needed.
Their attempt failed and the factory still has to pay
almost $13 million in debts and layoff 1,000 workers.
The Romanian workers' idea was placed in eighth
position in the list of 101 bad business ideas,
reports a news website.

A woman phoned Stumpy at the dry cleaners he
works for, saying that the designer label was missing
from her dress's neckband. Assuring her that he
would look for it, Stumpy spent the whole afternoon
searching the shop. Finally, he found the label in a
trash bin. He cleaned and pressed it, and dropped it
off at the customer's home.
"Oh, thank you," she gushed. "I'm having a garage
sale tomorrow, and I can always charge a few
dollars more for a dress with a label on it."

My husband's skills with do-it-yourself home repairs
are at best mediocre. After spending several evenings
trying to fix a leak in the bathroom, he finally admitted
defeat and called a plumber, who finished the job in
ten minutes. Watching him put away his equipment,
my son asked what had been the problem.
"Well," the plumber replied, "seems that your father
got hold of some tools. . . ."

You can tell if your cat has a problem by asking
yourself the following questions:
1) Does your cat sleep 22 hours a day, and then
spend the other two hours in non-stop eating?
2) Does your cat take frequent naps in annoying
places, such as in the center of the dinner table,
in the kitchen sink, or on top of your favorite,
freshly cleaned (especially of cat hair) bedspread?
3) Is your cat selfish? Conceited? Arrogant? Aloof?
Insensitive?
4) Does he wake you up in the middle of the night
and refuse to stop meowing until you accompany
him to his food bowl to watch him eat?
5) Does your cat tear down holiday decorations?
Does he destroy any stuffed toy or cat-sized
household ornament that might be misconstrued
as his competition?
6) Does your cat perceive himself to be sole
owner of all property? Does he often show
disdain for your taste, or act as if you are an
embarrassment to him?
If you answered "yes" to most of these questions....
relax, your cat is normal.
