NETFLASH: BREAKING NEWS FROM NETWORK WORLD FUSION

By Jeff Caruso

Fraud through e-commerce is a booming business. A researcher
that has been tracking this sort of thing for the last six years
says that businesses will lose $2.6 billion to online fraud this
year. This high number is causing many online retailers to spend
more money on combating fraud - and they don't always correctly
identify it, which means they leave money on the table.

How best to patch: the debate begins

For a serious vetting of the issues, nothing beats one of
Network World's Virtual Showdowns. We're running one all week
long on the topic of managing patches, which has turned into one
of the biggest headaches for network managers today. We've got
six patch-management vendors, each with their own take - and the
fun really begins tomorrow, when you'll be able to submit your
own questions and get prompt answers in our forum format.
