Centre mulls purchase, price preference for SSIs
The Small Scale Industries Development Bill, which will be placed before the
Cabinet shortly, proposes to introduce statutory backing for the preferential
price and purchase policy for SSI units. �We seek to introduce a rule by which
certain percentage of purchases must come from SSI units,� a senior government
official told FE.
